Joshua attended O’Neill Collegiate and Vocational Institute as a performing arts student; his studies consisted of choreography, improvisation, post-modern and international studies. Joshua’s exposure to both streams of dance, competitive and explorative, had provoked his desire to begin teaching and promoting the influences of dance.
Recently, Joshua has branched out and begun assisting and teaching dance in the genres of acrobatics, contemporary, hip-hop, and jazz. Joshua is in the process of completing his Acrobatic Arts certification for both module 1 and 2. Joshua aims to challenge his dancers with new variations of tricks.
Joshua’s interest in dance has not only led him to start teaching dance but has also influenced his decision to begin pursuing his nursing and chiropractic studies. The exposure to the various movements of the body and the injuries that follow has peaked his interest in human anatomy. As of August 2018, Joshua completed the first step to his goal, by graduating with his certificate in Pre-Health Sciences from Durham College.
